Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit. Jer. 17:7-8

Hanukkah Candles

Hanukkah Candle Lighting Guide

The story of the Hanukkah miracle, particularly the miracle of the oil lasting for eight days, is not directly mentioned in the Hebrew Bible, as it originates from later Jewish tradition. However, the celebration of the rededication of the Temple and the victory of the Maccabees is recounted in the books of 1 Maccabees and 2 Maccabees, which are found in the Apocrypha. While these books are not part of the canonical Hebrew Bible, they give the historical background for Hanukkah.

You are the God who performs miracles; You display Your power among the peoples. Tehillim 77:14
