What happened when humanity chose to distrust G-d’s Word? In Gates 1–3 of Lesson Two, we enter Genesis 3 and examine the serpent’s deception, humanity’s rebellion, and the consequences that followed. We will see how temptation begins by questioning what G-d has spoken, how sin fractures our relationship with the Creator, and how humanity’s fall created a need for redemption. Yet even in the midst of judgment, G-d reveals hope. Genesis 3 begins to point toward His unfolding plan to defeat the serpent, restore what was lost, and ultimately bring redemption through Messiah.
